Buffalo vs Maryland Prediction

The current betting odds have Maryland listed as a 23 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Buffalo is coming off of a bad losing season while Maryland just barely finished .500, but these two teams are clearly trending in opposite directions right now. Buffalo has not been doing well over the last few years and a lot of their players from last season have left the program now, leaving them with a much newer team than they had before. Maryland has had a few changes as well but the core of their offense, starting QB Taulia Tagovailoa and a lot of his receivers, are still there this season and they should continue to improve as a team even more this year. Tagovailoa already has an older brother in the NFL and he will be trying hard this season to make some bigger steps with his game to follow in his brother's footsteps. Maryland has a lot more talent on their team that will only improve this season as they continue to develop together while Buffalo has seen a lot of their talent leave them recently. The best way to place a bet here is on Maryland to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“It’s like making a cake. You put all the ingredients in there together, and it turns out really good.” - Maurice Linguist on finding the right fit for everyone on the team before their season opener here on Friday.

“Three things are really clear: one, we have talent. Two, we’re building great depth finally — especially up front in the trenches with the O-Line and the D-Line where we’ve been pretty thin here over the last few years. Having continuity on our roster and with our coaching staff is another key to this excitement that I know I have.” - Mike Locksley on his team before their season opener here on Friday.
