Bowling Green State is playing their season opener here on Saturday and this will also be their first road game of the college football season. They finished last season with a 4-8 record overall and were 2-4 in their road games. They were also 2-6 in their conference games and finished 4th place in the MAC East. They did not end their season with a Bowl game as their record was not good enough to become Bowl eligible. Their offense was averaging 318.3 YPG and 21.4 PPG while their defense was allowing 374.1 YPG and 30.7 PPG against them. BGSU did have their moments last season as they pulled off some good upsets and kept some of their games close, but near the end of the season they really started to get blown out again and they were losing bad games to other teams in their conference. BGSU does have some of their offensive players returning this season, like their starting QB, so they should take some steps to improve this season but, UCLA also has a lot of their core players on the offense returning and with this being Kelly's 5th season coaching the team now, he needs to produce some results this season. UCLA should also be a much more improved team this season and they reall started to click at the end of last season as they won their last 3 games but all of them in big blow outs wins. They should be able to pick up where they left off last year and start their season with a big win at home over a bad team. The best way to place a bet here is on UCLA to cover the spread in this game.
