Boston College vs Virginia Tech Prediction

The current betting odds have VA Tech listed as a 2.5 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. VA Tech wasn't great in their first game of the season, taking a 3 point loss late on the road against ODU, but now they are back at home where they play much better and they will bounce back with a better performance here. Their offense isn't great this year but they do have a good defense and this is going to be key in this game at home. Boston College is playing their first road game here after losing a bad game to lose at home by just 1 point to a Rutgers team that isn't really that good. Now BC goes on the road against a much better defense after a game where they struggled to move the ball at home. VA Tech is going to be upset about the way they lost their game late and they will play better on defense to stop this BC offense which showed nothing new last week. VA Tech also has a good run game as well which is something that BC failed to establish on their own field. Both of these teams have bad offenses but this game will come down to defense and VA Tech has the better defense and the home advantage here. The best way to place a bet here is on VA Tech to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“Everybody in a jungle has got to be ready to attack. The jungle is never a safe place. You’ve got to attack or you’re going to get eaten. You’ve got to hunt.” - Jason Maitre on how he treats every game in the college football season.

“Something like that, that wasn’t a good feeling for those kids, for our team, to be honest. That locker room, that’s a sanctuary, to come in and deal with a tough loss, and have that occur, and then impact our travel plans, everyone gets home later, and it’s just not how you want to handle things.” - Brent Pry on his team’s locker room getting robbed during their game against ODU.
