Boise State vs UTEP Prediction

The current betting odds have UTEP listed as a 16 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Both of these teams have looked really bad in their first few games with Boise State being a little bit better. Boise State has won 2 of their games but 1 win came against a team from the FCS last week and the other was against New Mexico in a game where BSU really struggled to move the ball in the 1st half and still only won by 17 points. UTEP has been terrible in their games, losing 3/4 already, but they will be at home here and will put up a much better fight in this game. Bachmeier has not been convincing as the starting QB for BSU and he is holding his offense back as they have looked a lot more explosive with their backup in the games. BSU still has a better team but they haven't looked good in their road games and they could get caught looking here as they have the bulk of their conference schedule starting next week. BSU is better and will win this game but this is too many points for them on the road with the way they have been playing lately. The best way to place a bet here is on UTEP to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

"We need to get (Holani) the ball in the perimeter too when there's space out there. We need to get him as many touches as we can." - Andy Avalos on Holani after his team’s win against UTM in their last game.

“Last weekend in the second half, (Hardison) just didn’t do the things he’d been doing in the previous five, six quarters of play leading up to that second half. I just think he was a little bit off in the second half and he’s just too good of a player to be off. … We need him to dominate and be precise.” - Dana Dimel on his QB this season.
