Eight competitors will take part in an opening round with the top four scorers advancing to the semifinals, seeded based on the results. Each hitter gets 20 swings. There is no longer a bonus round, but hitting a home run on the final swing earns the competitor bonus swings until a home run is not the result. The top four scorers advance to the semifinals. Ties are resolved by the longest home run from the competitors in question.
