Big Al's Daily Angle: NFL, NCAAB, NCAAF, and FIFA Men's World Cup Previews and Odds - 11/24/2022

The Thursday Thanksgiving sports card features action in the NFL, NCAAF, NCAAB, and the FIFA Men’s World Cup.

Week 12 in the National Football League kicks off with three games. The Buffalo Bills travel to Detroit to play the Lions on CBS at 12:30 PM ET. The Bills ended a two-game losing streak with a 31-23 win against Cleveland as a 7.5-point favorite last Sunday played at Ford Field in Detroit after the snowstorm in Buffalo. The Lions have won three in a row after their 31-18 upset win in New York against the Giants as a 3-point underdog on Sunday. Buffalo is a 9.5-point road favorite, with the total set at 54.5 (all odds from DraftKings unless indicated otherwise).

The Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants on Fox at 4:30 PM ET. The Cowboys won for the third time in their last four games with a 40-3 victory at Minnesota as a 1.5-point favorite on Sunday. The Giants have lost two of three after their upset loss to the Lions. Dallas is a 10-point favorite with an over/under of 45.5. 

The Minnesota Vikings play at home against the New England Patriots on NBC at 8:20 PM ET. The Vikings’ seven-game winning streak ended on Sunday with their loss at home to the Cowboys. The Patriots won for the fifth time in their last six games after their 10-3 victory against the New York Jets as a 3.5-point favorite on Sunday. Minnesota is a 3-point favorite with a total of 42. 

Week 13 in the college football regular season continues with one game. Mississippi is at home against Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on ESPN at 7 PM ET. The Rebels lost for the third time in their last four games in a 42-27 upset loss at Arkansas as a 1-point favorite on Saturday. The Bulldogs won for the second time in their last three games with a 56-7 victory against East Tennessee State as a 39-point favorite last Saturday. Ole Miss is a 2-point favorite with an over/under of 61. 

The college basketball card features 17 games on national television. Two NCAAB games tip off at 11:30 AM ET. Wisconsin battles Kansas on ESPN in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament at the Imperial Arena in Nassau, Bahamas. Florida State plays Siena on ESPN2 in the ESPN Events Invitational at the State Farm Field House in Kissimmee, Florida. North Carolina faces Portland on ESPN at 1 PM ET in the Phil Knight Invitational at the Mona Center in Portland, Oregon as a 14.5-point favorite with a total of 152.5. Two more NCAAB games start at 1:30 PM ET. Tennessee goes against USC on ESPN2 in the Battle 4 Atlantis. Mississippi battles Stanford on ESPNU in the ESPN Events Invitational as a 1-point favorite with an over/under of 131.5. 

Duke plays Oregon State on ESPN at 3 PM ET in the Phil Knight Invitational at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon as a 21.5-point favorite with a total of 139.5. Villanova goes against Iowa State on ESPN2 in the Phil Knight Invitational at the Moda Center at 3:30 PM ET as a 2-point favorite with an over/under of 130. Dayton faces North Carolina State on ESPN News at 4 PM ET in the Battle 4 Atlantis. Oklahoma plays Nebraska on ESPN at 5 PM ET in the ESPN Events Invitational as a 6.5-point favorite with a total of 130. Xavier battles Florida on ESPN2 in the Phil Knight Invitational at Veterans Memorial Coliseum as a 1.5-point favorite with an over/under of 150.5. 

Memphis faces Seton Hall on ESPN News at 7:30 PM ET in the ESPN Events Invitational. UConn goes against Oregon on ESPN2 in the Phil Knight Invitational at the Moda Center as a 4-point favorite with a total of 139.5. Two more NCAAB games begin at 10 PM ET. Purdue plays West Virginia on ESPN2 in the Phil Knight Invitational at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum as a 1-point favorite with an over/under of 138. Fresno State battles Vanderbilt on ESPNU in the Wooden Legacy at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Alabama faces Michigan State on ESPN in the Phil Knight Invitational at the Moda Center at 10:30 PM ET. Two more games conclude the NCAAB card at 12:30 AM ET. Gonzaga plays Portland State on ESPN in the Phil Knight Invitational at Veterans Memorial Coliseum as a 27.5-point favorite with a total of 161.5. Washington battles Saint Mary’s on ESPN2 in the Wooden Legacy. 

The FIFA Men’s World Cup continues with four matches in the group stage. Switzerland plays Cameroon on FS1 at 5 AM ET as a -0.5 goal-line favorite with an over/under of 2 (all soccer odds from BetMGM). Uruguay battles South Korea on FS1 at 8 AM ET as a -0.5 goal-line favorite with a total of 2. Portugal goes against Ghana on Fox at 11 AM ET as a -1.5 goal line favorite with an over/under of 2.5. Brazil faces Serbia on Fox at 2 PM ET as a -1 goal line favorite with a total of 2.5.
