Big Al's Daily Angle: NBA, NHL, Copa America, WNBA and MLB Previews and Odds - 06/24/2021

The Thursday sports card features games in the NBA, NHL, MLB, WNBA, and the Copa America.

The NBA Western Conference finals continue with the Los Angeles Clippers hosting the Phoenix Suns on ESPN at 9:05 PM ET. The Suns took a 2-0 lead in this series with their 104-103 victory as a 3-point favorite on Tuesday. Phoenix has won nine games in a row. The Clippers attempt to dig themselves out of an 0-2 hole in a playoff series for the third straight time this postseason after losing the first two games against Dallas and Utah. The Suns expect Chris Paul to be available for this game after being in COVID quarantine. Phoenix is a 1-point road favorite with the total set at 221 (all odds from BetOnline). 

The semifinals of the NHL playoffs move to Montreal with Game 6 of the series between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Montreal Canadiens on the USA Network. The Canadiens took a 3-2 series lead with their 4-1 victory in Las Vegas on Tuesday. The Golden Knights have lost three of their last four games. Vegas is a -145 money line road favorite with an over/under of 5. The puck drops at 8:08 PM ET.

Ten games are on the MLB docket. Two games take place in the afternoon. The New York Yankees host the Kansas City Royals at 1:05 PM ET as a -105 money line favorite with a total of 9.5. Oakland visits Texas at 2:05 PM ET as a -156 money line road favorite. 

Toronto plays at home against Baltimore at 7:07 PM ET as a -163 money line favorite with an over/under of 11. Houston travels to Detroit at 7:10 PM ET as a -213 money line road favorite with a total of 9.5. Washington plays at Miami as a -108 money line favorite with an over/under of 8.5. Atlanta is at Cincinnati. Boston visits Tampa Bay. 

Minnesota plays at home against Cleveland at 8:10 PM ET as a -168 money line favorite with an over/under of 9. St. Louis hosts Pittsburgh at 8:15 PM ET as a -150 money line favorite with a total of 9. The Los Angeles Dodgers host the Chicago Cubs at 10:10 PM ET as a -220 money line favorite with an over/under of 8.

Three games are on the WNBA slate. Dallas visits Indiana on the CBS Sports Network at 7 PM ET. Chicago plays in New York. Washington travels to Los Angeles at 10:30 PM ET. 

Group stage play in the Copa America continues with two matches in Group A on FS1. Uruguay plays Bolivia at 5 PM ET at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba, Brazil. The Uruguayans earned their first point in this tournament with their 1-1 draw with Chile on Monday. The Bolivians have lost their first two matches after a 1-0 loss to Chile last Friday. Uruguay is a -1.75 goal line favorite with a total of 2.75.

Chile plays Paraguay at the Estadio Nacional de Brasilia in Brasilia, Brazil at 8 PM ET. The Chileans have five points in three matches after their draw with Uruguay on Monday. The Paraguayans have three points in group play after a 1-0 loss to Argentina on Monday. Chile is a -0.25 goal line favorite with an over/under of 2.
