Big Al's Daily Angle: NBA, NCAAF, NHL, MLB, WNBA, and EPL Previews and Odds - 05/16/2021

The Sunday sports card features action in the NBA, NHL, MLB, WNBA, the English Premier League, and college football with the FCS national championship game.

Fifteen games are on the NBA docket on the last day of the regular season. Three games begin the card at 1 PM ET. Washington hosts Charlotte as a 5-point favorite at DraftKings. New York plays at home against Boston in the opening game of a doubleheader on ESPN as an 8-point favorite at DraftKings. Indiana visits Toronto as a 6-point road favorite at DraftKings. Phoenix travels to San Antonio at 2 PM ET as a 10-point road favorite at DraftKings. 

Golden State hosts Memphis at 3:30 PM ET in the second game on ESPN. The winner clinches the eighth seed in the Western Conference playoffs which ensures them a second game if they lose the first play-in game. The Warriors are a 5.5-point favorite with the total set at 230 (all odds from BetOnline unless indicated otherwise). 

Three games continue the NBA card at 7 PM ET. Atlanta plays at home against Houston as a 10.5-point favorite at DraftKings. Philadelphia is at home against Orlando as an 8.5-point favorite at DraftKings. Cleveland visits Brooklyn. Miami travels to Detroit at 8 PM ET as a 6.5-point road favorite at DraftKings. 

Three games conclude the NBA slate at 9 PM ET. The Los Angeles Clippers visit Oklahoma City as an 8.5-point road favorite at DraftKings. Dallas plays at Minnesota as a 9-point road favorite at DraftKings. The Los Angeles Lakers visit New Orleans as a 10-point road favorite at DraftKings. 

Four games are on the NHL schedule. Pittsburgh hosts the New York Islanders at noon ET on NBC in the opening game of their East Division playoff series. The Penguins are a -125 money line favorite with a total of 5.5. 

Vegas plays at home against Minnesota at 3 PM ET on NBC in the first game of their West Division playoff series. The Golden Knights are a -153 money line favorite with an over/under of 5.5. 

Tampa Bay visits Florida at 7:30 PM ET on the NBC Sports Network in game one of their Central Division playoff series. The Lightning are a -115 money line road favored with the total at 5.5. 

Calgary plays at Vancouver at 10:30 PM ET as both teams continue to make up games from their regular season schedule. The Flames are a -127 money line road favorite with an over/under of 5.5.

Fifteen games are on the MLB slate. San Francisco plays at Pittsburgh at 1:05 PM ET as a -163 money line road favorite with the total at 8. The New York Yankees visit Baltimore. Toronto plays at home against Philadelphia at 1:07 PM ET as a -164 money line favorite with an over/under of 10. Boston hosts the Los Angeles Angels at 1:10 PM ET as a -149 money line favorite with a total of 9.5. The Chicago Cubs travels to Detroit as a -137 money line road favorite with an over/under of 8. The New York Mets play at Tampa Bay.

Houston hosts Texas at 2:10 PM ET as a -181 money line favorite with a total of 8. The Chicago White Sox play at home against Kansas City as a -160 money line favorite with an over/under of 8.5. Minnesota is at home against Oakland with both teams priced at -105 with a total of 8.5. Atlanta plays at Milwaukee. Cincinnati is at Colorado at 3:10 PM ET as a -110 money line road favorite with an over/under of 11.5. 

Washington plays at Arizona at 4:10 PM ET as a -108 money line road favorite with a total of 9.5. Miami plays in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. Cleveland visits Seattle. 

San Diego plays at home against St. Louis at 7 PM ET on ESPN. The Padres send out Ryan Weathers to face Kwang-Hyun Kim. San Diego is a -128 money line favorite with an over/under of 7.

Two games are in the WNBA. New York visits Indiana at 2 PM ET. Phoenix travels to Connecticut at 8 PM ET. Both games are on the CBS Sports Network. 

Four matches conclude Matchweek 36 in the English Premier League. Aston Villa visits Crystal Palace at 7 AM ET on the NBC Sports Network as a -0.25 goal line road favorite with the total at 2.5. Tottenham hosts Wolverhampton at 9:05 AM ET on the NBC Sports Network as a -1 goal line favorite with an over/under of 2.5. Liverpool travels to West Bromwich Albion at 11:30 AM ET on the NBC Sports Network as a -2 goal line road favorite with a total of 3.5. Everton is at home against Sheffield United at 2 PM ET on Peacock as a -1.25 goal line favorite with an over/under of 2.5. 

Sam Houston State plays South Dakota State for the FCS college football national championship on ABC at 2 PM ET. The Jackrabbits are a 5.5-point favorite with the total set at 48.
