Braves vs Phillies Prediction

The current betting odds have the Phillies listed as slight favorites in this game. The Phillies have been heating up a lot ever since they gave up on Joe Girardi but the team has definitely been responding as they have gone on some big runs to put them back in a position where they can compete. They just won a 4-game series on the road against the Padres and were still hitting the ball very well despite their recent injuries. The Braves are coming off of a series loss to the Dodgers with a bad taste in their mouths as they blew the final game of that series in the 9th inning with 2 outs, letting the Dodgers come back from down 2-0 and win 5-3 in the 11th inning. They are going with Morton in this game and he is definitely not the guy he used to be, as his ERA is much higher than past seasons and he has not been pitching well in a lot of his starts this season. Wheeler is starting for the Phillies here and he has been lights out all season, especially when playing at home and he will continue that dominant performance in this game against a Braves lineup that did not score a lot of runs on the Dodgers over the weekend. The Phillies have the better pitching matchup here and their bats have been much better in the very short term. The best way to place a bet here is on the Phillies to win this game.
