Arkansas State vs Ohio State Prediction

The current betting odds have Arkansas State listed as a 43.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Arkansas State played a very good game last week as they blew out Grambling State 58-3. Arkansas State still isn't a good team and beating up on a team from the FCS is not going to change that but, they have had a pretty good offense under Butch Jones the last 2 seasons and they have an offense that can definitely score some points. They are not going to score easily at all on this very good Ohio State defense but, OSU did not look good on offense against Notre Dame last week and with a spread so large in this game, it is hard to see them putting up that many points here. Arkansas State does not have a good defense and OSU should be able to score on them but Arkansas State can score a lot of points too and once OSU takes a big enough lead in this game, if they even muster up that many points with this offense, they will still leave the backdoor open for a cover as Arkansas State will likely have their points come later in the game when the starters have been taken out. Arkansas State is not a very good team and they will not keep this game close but, OSU may not score enough points to even get there and this spread is just too big for them. The best way to place a bet here is on Arkansas State to cover the spread in this game.

"That was something we spent a lot of time in the offseason saying, 'We have to be able to win ugly on offense, we have to stop the run on defense.' They all count the same. And you have to figure out based on who you're going against, how do you want to win that game? When you have that versatility, man, it's going to pay off down the road." - Ryan Day after his team’s tough win against Notre Dame in their last game.
