Season Record

ARPB: 1-10 (Swac)
Texas: 6-2 (Big 12)

Arkansas pine bluff golden lions mens basketball… is a mouthful. It’s also one of those sporting events that we must take at face value.  The Golden Lions will lose.  Any team from the SWAC would lose this matchup against Texas.  It’s a roster issue.  Texas has put a dozen quality players into the NBA over just the last 5 seasons.  ARPB hasn’t.

Texas longhorns mens basketball tickets will be available.  Anytime in Dec on a Tue you schedule home games for the guaranteed win, you won’t fool anyone that they will see march madness.  Of course you might get some frank erwin center tickets at their best price possible. Check with the box office at the facility… All kidding aside, the only thing to ponder on this one is will Texas cover the spread?... and how big will that spread be.  Check the Prediction below.

Al McMordie was 3-5 yesterday, including a 1-2 day in College Hoops, so he looks to rebound on Monday. Tonight, Big Al's featuring this NCAA Basketball Elite Info Winner out of a 43-14 ATS angle. Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs  Texas Longhorns Preview and Analysis

Recent Form

ARPB is 1-10 on the season, but 4-5-1 ATS.  They have logged 7 Overs and 3 Unders.  They are 0-9 in road games. They lost their last game to Arkansas State 84-73, but earned a Push on the -11 point spread.

Texas is 6-2 on the season, 4-4 ATS.  They have notched 3 Overs and 5 Unders.  They are a flawless 6-0 in home games.

Offensive Analysis

ARPB is 319th in the country with 63.4 points per game, 355th in the country with 25.8 rebounds per game, 338th in AST/TO ratio with 0.7.  They can’t shoot, or they are playing teams that are so much better that they can’t shoot over the defense… either way they are 340th in FG% with 38.5%, 329th in 3PT% with 28.1%, fortunately they shoot 75.4% from the free throw line… that’s 54th in the country.    The bad news is the Golden Lions may be the worst defensive team in D-1 college basketball.  They are 355th while allowing 84.1 ppg.  That's right they allow 21 more points than they score per game!!

Texas is 126th in points with 74.5 per game, 297th in rebounds with 30.3 per game, and 50th in AST/TO ratio with 1.4.  The Longhorns are shooting well this season: 26th in FG% with 48.9% (lots of dunks), 71st in 3PT% with 36.8%.   The reason they will destroy ARPB by the score in the prediction is they are 7th in the nation on defense.  They only allow 56.4 ppg.  ARPB is the worst team Texas has played so far.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions vs  Texas Longhorns  Prediction

Our prediction for Tuesday, December 14th is….  Texas 82 - ARPB 43

That’s right.  Take any spread equal to or less than -37.5 points for Texas.  I’m predicting they will cover because of the severe disparity on defense and offense. ARPB is a team that lost by 40 to Wyoming.
