Arizona is playing their season opener here on Saturday and this will also be their first road game of the college football season. They finished last season with a 1-11 record overall and were 0-5 in their road games. They were also 1-8 in their conference games and finished 6th place in the PAC-12 South. They did not end their season with a Bowl game as their record was not good enough to become Bowl eligible. Their offense was averaging 357.3 YPG and 17.2 PPG while their defense was allowing 372.5 YPG and 31.4 PPG against them. SDSU had a great season last year, they did lose a lot of their players and are dealing with a lot of distractions in the media right now but they still have a much better team from a talent perspective. They have been a strong defensive team for years and this Arizona offense has been very bad, it will be even worse with all of these new players trying to learn the system. SDSU could win this game with their defense alone as they will make it very hard for Arizona to score in this game but they also have a lot of returning players on this offense and will be able to score the points needed to cover the spread here. The best way to place a bet here is on SDSU to cover the spread in this game.
