Arizona State vs Arizona Prediction

The current betting odds have Arizona listed as a 4 point favorite in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. Arizona only has 1 more win than Arizona State does this season but Arizona has been having a much better year and are playing a lot better in their games. Even in their loss last week, they still played very well as they kept that game close and that was also right after they pulled off a huge upset against UCLA. ASU has taken some bad losses this year and their program is in complete disarray right now. Not only did they fire their head coach midway through the season, but now they are having a QB competition to try and find who their answer is at that position. Arizona only has 4 wins this year but they have taken some big steps in this program from where they were last year and they will use this rivalry game as a way to end the season off on a good note as neither team can become bowl eligible now. Arizona is the better team here and they have been much better in their games lately along with having the home advantage in this rivalry game. The best way to place a bet here is on Arizona to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“If both teams don’t go to a bowl game, now it’s all about pride. They have something to prove. We have something to prove … Now it’s mano a mano and who’s gonna be the best team.” - Shaun Aguano on this upcoming game against Arizona after his team’s loss against Oregon State in their last game.

“When it’s all said and done didn’t play well enough to win the game. We weren’t good enough, we weren’t in sync, we need to be better. I thought our defense probably had their best performance of the year, although I would argue that the performance against UCLA was pretty good as well. I think they’ve had 10 very good quarters of football in a row, when you look at the last two quarters of Utah, the four quarters of UCLA and the four quarters that they played (against Washington State). A couple scores here and there that we let up, couple scores here and there we gave to them in regards to turnovers on offense.” - Jedd Fisch after his team’s loss against WSU in their last game.
