AAA's Top Five Starting Pitching Rotations For The Playoffs

The Pitchers ~ Yamamoto , Skubal, Snell  and Glasnow  (later rounds.)

From both a lineup and a pitching standpoint, there's no question that we think that the Dodgers have the best pitching rotation in the MLB. Ohtani won't pitch again during the postseason. But, the Dodgers added Tarik Skubal from the Detroit Tigers at the trade deadline. That acquisition alone definitely puts fear into opposing teams. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will probably lead the way, considering what he did in the playoffs last season. Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow will round out the playoff rotation with lots of starting pitching talent in the bullpen. Hopefully Edwin Diaz can perform at this time of the year. 

The Pitchers ~ Schlittler, Fried, Cole and Rodon

The projected AL Cy Young Award winner of this season (Cam Schlittler) will lead the way for the New York Yankees in this upcoming playoffs. The Yanks have a date with their rivals in the Boston Red Sox, so pitching will definitely play a big part. Along with Schlittler will be Max Fried, Garrit Cole and Carlos Rodon. Ryan Weathers and Will Warren could also see some time out of the bullpen for New York. Depending on the opposing teams starters, we could see Aaron Boone change the rotation for good matchups. 

The Pitchers ~ Rasmussen, Martinez, Peralta + (McLanahan/Jax/Seymour)

This might have been the best starting rotation in the MLB in 2026. Led by Drew Rasmussen... Nick Martinez, Shane McLanahan, Griffin Jax and Ian Seymour have all played a huge part in the success of the Tampa Bay Rays. They are the top seed in the American League for a reason and I think that they definitely could make a run at the World Series trophy if everything is clicking. Freddy Peralta hasn't had his best season. But, Tampa is sure going for it after adding him to the rotation at the deadline. 

The Pitchers ~ Misiorowski, Henderson, Harrison, and May

Every single year, it seems like Milwaukee produces a new pitching talent. There's been plenty of great pitchers come out of the Brewers pitching staff over the past decade with guys like Freddy Peralta, Corbin Burnes and now Jacob Misiorowski leading the charge. Now, Logan Henderson has become one of the top pitchers in the league. With home field advantage, the Brewers are going to have all of the confidence in the world with a 54-25 home record this season. This will be a hard team to beat if the pitching staff performs anything like it had during the regular season. 

The Pitchers ~ Sanchez , Wheeler, Luzardo and Nola

Philadelphia once again has a really strong pitching group, even without Ranger Suarez. Cristopher Sanchez made history this season for the most consecutive scoreless innings ( 50 2/3 ) in Phillies franchise history. Zack Wheeler is back this year after being injured for the big part of last season. Jesus Luzardo and Aaron Nola round out the rotation with Andrew Painter in the mix as well. The addition of Luis Arraez offensively will also give Philadelphia a boost. This is a really strong group.
