Season Record
Titans: 2-2. Tied for first place AFC South
Commanders: 1-3, last place NFC East

An inter-conference battle of teams looking for an identity.  The Tennessee Titans are 2-2 and coming off an obvious win to the Indianapolis Colts.  It was also a nice little win ATS. When I say obvious I actually don’t care who wins, only who wins ATS.  If I was telling you straight up that would be referenced as double obvious.  The Washington Commanders are still the proverbial turd in the punchbowl in the NFC East… what is making them extra pathetic is the rest of the NFC East are starting to play better.  We are still so very early in the season that both teams could have radical turnarounds… both teams could also drift into obscurity.  Let’s check the numbers and win a UNIT!

The Tennessee Titans lost their first two games and won their next two games… The difference was of course the first two teams were good and the next two were bad.  That is a major red flag in betting… We are talking about a team that is advertising “AVERAGE”.  The benefit of betting the Titans is that the Commanders may be the worst team they run into all season.  (That doesn’t mean betting the Titans until we check the numbers and make a prediction.  The Titans have always been on slippery footing with Ryan Tannehill at QB… Ryan is a guy that has an equal amount of good and bad seasons… after plenty of time to show us what he can do.  The upside for the Titans is that they have Derrick Henry… who has 306 yards after 4 games… and always promises to have a big game if he gets past the Middle linebacker after hitting the hole.  He is a great running back that is getting a little long in the tooth.  The Titans are favored by 3.5 points even though the numbers say they are bad on both offense AND defense.

The Washington Commanders have one of the worst owners in all of sports… They guy is like Dolan with the Knicks in the NBA… No one wants any more of his ideas anywhere… Yet he keeps on owning a desperately historic and necessary team.  Those are the breaks. Bad leadership always gets Knicks and Commanders results… bad year after year… rebuild… bad year after year… rebuild… bad year after year.  You get it.  The Commanders have QB Carson Wentz… that guy has talent and lots of troubles. His troubles are never quite getting healthy and never quite being in a great position.  Agents help get players the best possible CONTRACT… not always the best possible position.  When someone with Carson’s talent is landing on a new team after being beaten up by his last team… Agents should consider finding them somewhere for less money to play backup to a great quarterback… He then gets a full year or 18 months of rehab and relaxation until he gets inserted after a sprained ankle to the starter… Then BOOM… He looks like his old self! Carson will never get that opportunity. Carson has Antonio Gibson and not much else to help him out… That is a big reason this team is below average in all categories.

Tennessee Titans vs Washington Commanders Prediction

Our prediction for Sunday, October 9th is… Titans 28 - Commanders 20

Bet on the Titans.  The Titans are not special but for a QB like Tannehill… throwing against a pass defense this bad will be a life-saver… a real opportunity to restore any idea of finishing the season with quality stats.  Bet on the Titans ATS… You should ignore the O/U… It is soft… but both these teams are capable of simply not moving the ball for long stretches… and both these D’s are capable of giving up the shop to the other side… so Titans ATS.
