TCU vs SMU Prediction

The current betting odds have SMU listed as a PK in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. SMU has looked good in their first few games but they just lost last week in a game where they made a lot of mistakes on the road against Maryland. TCU didn't play last week as they got to enjoy one of their bye weeks and are on 2 weeks extended rest for this game. TCU has also looked great in their 2 games but they have also played 2 really bad teams so this will be their 1st real test on the road against a good SMU team. SMU still played well against Maryland last week and were leading for most of that game. They made some mistakes near the end to lose but they will be working on cleaning up those mistakes at practice and should play a lot better in this game at home. Things are still up in the air for TCU since they haven't played anyone good and now they haven't played in 2 weeks going on the road against an angry team looking to bounce back. SMU is going to clean up their game here and will win here at home. The best way to place a bet here is on SMU to win this game and cover the spread here at home.

Notable Quotes

"I think we're in a good spot. Obviously, Max Duggan has a significant résumé. He has played a lot of snaps in the last three years here at TCU, has played very well. ... Chandler is the same way. You look at some of the games he played in last year, he played exceptional. So they both have experience and they both have done it." - Sonny Dykes on his QB situation this season.

"I think Ray Charles could see he was down, but you have to hold onto the football. You have to hold onto the football." - Rhett Lashlee after his team’s loss against Maryland in their last game.
