South Florida vs Florida Prediction

The current betting odds have USF listed as a 24.5 point underdog in this game according to Draftkings Sportsbook. USF played a lot better in their last game after getting blown out at home to BYU in their season opener, but beating an FCS team is not really that great and they will have a much tougher challenge on their hands here. This is a game they will definitely get up for though with it being a State rivalry game, and Florida hasn't looked very good in their first 2 games. They barely won their 1st game against Utah and they got embarrassed at home in their last game by Kentucky. Florida will have an easier time moving the ball in this game but as good as their offense has looked, their defense hasn't been great and they will give up points to South Florida here. USF will give their best effort in this game too and they will be trying to win this game to embarrass Florida even more here. Florida has had to play 2 good teams this season but they still don't look like an explosive team and they are not going to blow out USF here. The best way to place a bet here is on USF to cover the spread in this game.

Notable Quotes

“We saw him up close and personal last year in our game. It’s difficult when you’re playing a dual-threat guy who can throw it. He has an incredibly strong arm. … The big thing this week is we’re going to have to be able to wrap up. He’s a big, strong guy.” - Jeff Scott on Anthony Richardson from their game against Florida last year.

“Pick the pen up and write a great page in the chapter of this part of your life and this part of your career. Still a young player. I’m excited to be a part of that and to observe that. He’s a special kid.” - Billy Napier on Anthony Richardson this season.
