In like a lion and out with a whimper!  An NFC South matchup between a struggling top-notch team and an imploding team.  The Tampa Bay Bucs are not what they wanted to be.  They still have the greatest football player of all time with QB Tom Brady. He alone means never ever count them out… or you will look like Max “what's his name?” who declared Tom falling off the cliff on ESPN YEARS AGO before two more Super Bowls! Tom wins Super Bowls.  The Bucs job is to get him there.  The Carolina Panthers are literally imploding.  They fired their coach… Do I mean in the offseason?... No, this week they fired their coach Matt Rhule. They still owe Matt Rhule several seasons of pay worth up to 40 million dollars!!  I would sit back and take that money from the other side of a tropical drink in Hawaii!!   During last Sunday’s game the Panthers dismissed WR Robbie Anderson during the game and traded him on Monday to the Arizona Cardinals.  The Panthers stink and they will be further imploding.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going through QB Tom Brady’s mid-life crisis with him.  That is what happens when your quarterback is 43 years old… whatever is happening in his personal life (and there is plenty in the lame press) and whatever is happening with the constant new days off?... Tom is a guy who should have retired when he ACTUALLY announced his retirement at the end of last season.  However football teams prepare now.. Not in the then. The Bucs still have a lot to like on their roster.  The Bucs lost a stunner to the lowly Pittsburgh Steelers 20-18 on Sunday.  Tom Brady became the first NFL quarterback to lose to rookie Steeler Kenny Pickett. “We didn’t earn the win” Brady said in the most obvious statement ever… "It's a game of earning it and it's a game of playing well and performing well and we're just not doing a good job of that. I don't think we've done it for six weeks. I think we're all playing less than what we're capable of."

The Carolina Panthers keep losing… The Los Angeles Rams last week 24-10, San Francisco 49ers the week before 37-15, and the Arizona Cardinals the week before that 26-16.  Do you spot the trend?  Big loss after big loss.  Then they started firing coaches and bailing off of players.  This week will get worse.  QB PJ Walker has taken over for Baker Mayfield who is out with an ankle injury.  Baker took over the team from Sam Darnold who is also out with an ankle injury.  PJ Walker is now listed as Day to Day with a neck strain.  The Panthers will lose the next several games.  They have nothing to offer.

Our prediction for Sunday, October 23rd is… Bucs 28 - Panthers 3

That is right.  Bet on the Bucs.  There will not be enough talent on the offensive side of the Panthers ball to get first downs let alone score much. This is the most obvious “get right “ game of Tom Brady’s career… and he played the JETS twice a year for 16 years!
