Season Record

Lions: 2-12-1 last place NFC North, last place the entire league.
Seahawks: 5-10 last place NFC West, at least they aren’t the Lions.

A matchup of opponents who have stunk up the league the entire season.  These teams represent something wonderful for bettors.  They have been struggling all year and in Detroit’s case they have been losing for years and years now.  It draws the bookmakers into setting large spreads to even get any action on these games… that is where you should pounce!  Take the Lions for instance… They have only won 2 games the entire season and registered 1 tie which looks like a loss on the record…. Yet they have covered the spread in 7 of their last ten games.  You have to remember that there are professional players on every single NFL roster… They represent high school and college legends from wherever in the country they grew up while playing football.  The entire NFL is made of studs that can out run you, out bench you, and tackle you harder than you could ever imagine, regardless of the record of the team they play for… Whenever you see any 13-14 points, point spreads… take it!  You get a two touchdown lead when the opposing coach is satisfied with running out the clock in the 4th quarter and winning by 10… or 7…. Or 3.  A great betting opportunity always starts with getting a lot of points or giving very few points, depending on if you want the dog or the favorite.

The Detroit Lions will get nothing from this season except a great draft pick… in a weak draft.  Last week the Lions lost to the Atlanta Falcons 20-16 but covered the 7.5 spread.  The week before the Lions amazingly beat the Arizona Cardinals 30-12… in a game they were underdogs by 13 points!!  That’s a 25 point swing.  Yes, it doesn’t always come through, that is why it is gambling.  In the game before they lost to the Denver Broncos 38-10 failing to cover the 13 point advantage.  The Lions should be a losing team.. They sent QB Matthew Stafford to the Rams and got QB Jared Goff and some picks back… when you volunteer to downgrade at quarterback for a couple measly draft picks that might not work out… I’m betting you are a bad team.  This last week in a loss to the Atlanta Falcons they were stuck with backup quarterback Tim Boyle under center and they played about the same as they always do.

The Seattle Seahawks feel more pressure and are undergoing a season of much more Turmoil than the Lions.  The Seahawks have a great quarterback who has won a Superbowl and should have won two if not for a bad call on the goal line in the final minute of the final Super Bowl he was ever in (two total).  That terrible call was made by head coach Pete Carroll… We will never know why Pete Carroll wanted to pass from the 2 yard line when he could have simply handed the ball to Marshon Lynch… maybe Pete is a huge Tom Brady fan?  The writing is on the wall though… If Pete isn’t relieved of his head coaching duties he definitely should be relieved from any draft responsibilities… though he also should be shown the door entirely.  Star quarterback Russell Wilson wants to move on… it’s clear. This year he was sidelined for a stretch by a broken finger courtesy of Rams DT Aaron Donald catching his passing hand during a pressure… Russell smiled and cheered on his backup… he looked downright comfortable not playing for the Seattle Seahawks.   The Seahawks are on a 2-game losing streak and have no mathematical chance of a postseason.  Going into week 17, winning might not be at the top of the agenda as much as preserving Russell’s health for either next year or this summer’s trade market.

Matt went 1-2 on Sunday and is on a 7-3 NFL run and he closes Week 16 with a BIG Winner! He is on a 24-16 NFL Run and going back, he is on a 34-21 NFL RAMPAGE! Fargo is a SWEET 21-12 with his Primetime Punishers while going 677-578 +$36,583 long-term!!
