Analysis: While Zack Greinke has a stronger ERA than Zach Davies at this point in the season, Greinke is allowing more than 10 hits per nine and has just a 3.7 K/9 and a CSW% below 25 percent. Greinke has not pitched well on the road this season with a 4.43 ERA and all of the home runs he has allowed this season have come on the road. This should be a challenging emotional spot for the Royals who had a 6-0 lead on Sunday against Minnesota only to see the Twins score seven runs in the final two frames. The bullpen for Kansas City has a 4.69 season ERA and that figure jumps to 6.62 with a 1.67 WHIP in the past 10 games. Arizona has not had elite pitching numbers, but the recent bullpen results have been improved and Davies has had more success than Greinke this season. Arizona has also seen its lineup start to provide some success, hitting .260 with 5.7 runs per nine in the past 10 games vs. right-handers. Arizona has scored a minimum of three runs in eight straight games and the Diamondbacks have been a competitive near .500 team this season despite being stuck in the very difficult NL West. The Royals have won only six road games all season and Kansas City is a bottom five MLB team in most pitching measures and several key offensive statistics as well despite garnering only a small underdog price with a 14-26 record off a devastating series over the weekend.
