Analysis
8* 7-pt Teaser (Cowboys & Bengals): Ok, so the “1st leg” of this teaser is on Thanksgiving when the Cowboys host the Raiders. My power rankings say the home team is being underrated in this matchup, but I’m a little “gun-shy” about laying points, given Dallas just lost 19-9 in Kansas City. But I do believe it’s going to be a SU win for the home team. So tease this number down to -0.5. Las Vegas may be 5-5 SU, but they have a -39 point differential and most of that is from the L2 games where they’ve been blown out by the Bengals (32-13) and the Chiefs (41-14). Don’t forget that this team lost its coach (Jon Gruden) about halfway into the season. I just don’t think the Raiders are a very good football team. They’ve actually lost three straight going back to a 23-16 loss to the Giants. Their last win came on Oct 24th. Dallas is 7-3 SU and I firmly believe they are going to win the NFC East this year. They’re in the top five of my power ratings and have been a great team here at home where they are 4-1 SU, averaging 36.0 PPG. It would be shocking to see them lose this game. The second leg of the teaser takes place on Sunday. I’m going to tease the Bengals through zero, taking them from a 4 point favorite to a 3-point dog. Like the Raiders, I don’t think the Steelers are very good, even though they have a winning record (5-4-1 SU). Pittsburgh had no business being in that game Sunday night against the Chargers as they were outgained 533-300. The Bengals, as mentioned in the other game analysis, were 32-13 winners in Las Vegas on Sunday. That has them at 6-4, just a half game ahead of Pittsburgh, but Cincy (+52) has a vastly better YTD point differential. They also already beat the Steelers head to head once this year, 24-10 in Pittsburgh back in Week 3. Going back to the second meeting of last season, Cincy has won two straight over the Black & Gold. But they haven’t swept a season series since 2009. Like the Cowboys, I firmly believe the Bengals will win this game, but why not take a few points just to be “safe.” 8* 7-pt Teaser (Cowboys/Bengals)
