Yesterday’s Results for Los Angeles Dodgers vs Atlanta Braves

Analysis: This feels familiar to last season as Atlanta saw a 3-1 series lead disappear in the NLCS with the Dodgers rallying back. Beating Max Fried was a huge result as the Dodgers have struggled of late vs. left-handers and now drawing right-hander Ian Anderson, Los Angeles should be in a favorable matchup at the plate. Anderson has excellent postseason numbers the past two seasons, but the Dodgers have four runs against him in six innings in his past two postseason starts against them including last season’s Game 7. It is not clear exactly how the Dodgers plan to attack this game in its entirety, but Walker Buehler is the expected starter. He is on short rest and may be limited to a shorter outing but is hard to argue with his credentials. He has allowed a few runs this postseason but the Dodgers are 6-2 in his playoff starts the past two seasons including winning Game 3. The off day yesterday came at a great time for Los Angeles given the bullpen innings logged on Thursday. At home Buehler and the Dodgers were -175 in Game 3 and the Dodgers were -180 in Game 2 in Atlanta against Anderson. The Braves will face a great deal of pressure tonight knowing what happened last season and the splits vs. right-handers dramatically favor Los Angeles at the plate.
