Yesterday’s Results for Texas Rangers vs Minnesota Twins

Analysis: I'm playing on MINNESOTA. Pineda got hit by a comebacker last time out and it caused him to need an extra day's worth of rest. He's reportedly good to go now though and that's good news for the Twins; they badly need a win and the veteran has been very consistent for them. Indeed, through five starts, Pineda has a stellar 2.31 ERA and 0.915 WHIP. In four home starts, that WHIP dips to 0.851. While the Twins were "only" 3-2 in those games, consider that they're 8-16 in games when Pineda doesn't start. Pineda last faced Texas back in August of 2019. He allowed three runs and his team won 13-6. Since that time, Pineda has allowed four or fewer earned runs in every single start. He allowed four twice and three once and two or less every other time. The Twins should give him some support this afternoon as Lyles is in terrible form. He's 0-2 with a 10.66 ERA and 2.052 WHIP his last three starts. While Pineda has only allowed home runs in three of his last 10 starts, Lyles has given up at least a HR in 14 straight. Twins bounce back.
