- Both teams are out of the race, and now it's simply playing for pride. Akron lost its home finale last week, falling 42-35 to Kent State in a marathon. I'm thinking the Zips will be out to avenge the loss and disappoint Bowling Green's fanbase in the Falcons' home finale.
Akron is on a 2-2 run , but has outscored opponents by 5.3 points per game in the four games. The Zips' offense has also generated 435.3 yards per game during the four-game stretch, while limiting teams to just 318.5 ypg.
The Zips never really had anything to play for, since they were banned from the postseason due to academic numbers, but ending the season on a winning note would be nice for this team.
I'll take the points with what's been the better team.
