Although Ben Shelton's 2nd round matchup against Rinky Hijikata had to be finished yesterday, it was only for a single minute. Nobody knows why the umpire suspended play for the night and we will never find out. That should should put even more fire into the American who looks to get this 3rd match done quickly.
Now, Marton Fucsovics did an excellent job at coming back from down two sets to one against Gael Monfils in the last round. But, this is a massive step up in competition. Yes, Monfils shows signs of brilliance, but he's actually the oldest player on the ATP Tour right now. Shelton will not fatigue as he's extremely young. With how good Ben's service game is, expect him to get out of this match without dropping more than a set, if any.
