Yesterday’s Results for Edmonton Oilers vs Los Angeles Kings

Analysis: As they say about the Bills in the NFL and the Lakers in the NBA - the Edmonton Oilers are Oilering. We always hear, "this is the year the Oilers get it done," and then they disappoint their fans. With the series headed to Los Angeles, and the Kings now in charge of home ice, I like them to go up 2-1 with a victory tonight. When Anze Kopitar buried his overtime winner on Wednesday, it had to of deflated the Oilers, who closed the season rather mediocre, losing eight of their last 15. That includes a disappointing 2-6 away from Edmonton. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for this team coming into a hostile venue. Flipside, the Kings closed the regular season winning six of eight and 10 of 15. During the 15-game since March 19, the Kings have outscored teams 52-37. They've also won eight of nine in Los Angeles during the stretch. This number makes no sense, as the Kings are legit and will take advantage of the momentum running in their favor.
