NFL Late Season Bad Encore
by Tom Stryker - 12/14/2005
The last three games of the NFL regular season can mean everything to those teams still in the playoff hunt and nothing to the others that have already been eliminated. Novice handicappers could experience a great deal of financial stress at this time of the year. The Las Vegas line is usually inflated on those squads still battling for playoff position. If you invest your hard earned dough on “badâ€쳌 numbers in the pros, you can go broke in a hurry. Fortunately, my powerful NFL database has kept me in the “profit zoneâ€쳌 in the month of December thanks to a handful of incredible late season systems.
This NFL Late Season Bad Encore system is just one that has made me a ton of money over the years. Let’s take a look at this awesome technical situation:
Since 1980, NFL non-division road teams from game 14 to game 16 are a miserable 35-73 ATS provided they check in off a double-digit loss. At this time of the season, blowouts can weigh heavy on pro teams. Injuries and fatigue have settled in and “getting upâ€쳌 for another four quarters of battle just isn’t as easy at it was at the beginning of the season especially if you’re forced to go on the road. Not being able to at least face a division foe takes away the motivational factor too. There is one team locked into this nasty “play againstâ€쳌 situation on Sunday – the San Francisco 49ers.
There are a couple of great tighteners that really make this system pop. First, if our opponent is matched up against a foe that enters off a home game, this technical situation slips to a dismal 8-26 ATS. If you think about this parameter for a second, it makes perfect sense. After getting drilled by double-digits, our “play againstâ€쳌 road team is forced to travel while its opponent spends the week in the comforts of home and probably picks up some much needed rest. On Sunday, not only is San Francisco forced to travel but the Niners must fly across the United States to the East coast of Florida! That’s not a short trek!
There is one final tightener that vaults this Late Season Bad Encore system to perfection. With our 8-26 ATS in hand and our “play againstâ€쳌 foe priced at +9.5 or more, this system crashes to a stunning 0-8 SU and ATS. In those eight games, our weary traveler has lost by margins of 24, 17, 26, 24, 16, 13, 21 and 34 points respectively. That’s an average of 21.9 points per game!
Jacksonville is at home off a home loss to Indianapolis and the Jags will have no trouble at all taking out their frustrations on the hapless San Francisco 49ers. Good luck with Jacksonville on Sunday and be sure to check back next week for another one of my powerful NFL late season systems. Thank you, Tom Stryker.
